Title: Boot menu delay and screen wake issue on dual boot (Garuda Linux 6.1.6-zen2-1-zen)

Body:

Hi, I’m facing two issues with my Garuda Linux setup:

  1. Boot menu delay: When I power on my laptop, the boot menu takes a long time to appear.

  2. Screen sleep issue: If my screen goes to sleep, it often doesn’t wake up properly. Sometimes I even have to reboot the system to get the display working again.

System setup:

OS: Garuda Linux x86_64

Kernel: Linux 6.1.6-zen2-1-zen

Dual boot with Windows

Troubleshooting tried:

Tried adjusting display settings, but the wake-up problem persists.

Request:
Could you please suggest how to fix the boot menu delay and the screen wake issue? Is this a kernel/driver problem or something related to dual boot configuration?

✅ System health check passed. No issues found.

That’s not the right driver for your dgpu → nvidia-open-dkms you need

Check your hdd, check your ram and default the bios look first on your igpu if anything there is connected and that can take a while. Perhaps you have a option inside bios to test ram if yes disable, or ahci mode for drive (pls no other option)

nvidia driver install / uninstall: use pacman -Qs nvidia to see what is installed.
If you see more then 3 files → default →

  • sudo pacman -S garuda-hardware-profile-nvidia (if ask for removal stuff = yes)
  • garuda-hardware-tool --nonfree
That should install the right driver → no errors → reboot → result = ?
If error → pls post pacman -Qs nvidia pacman -Qs garuda-hardware-tool
But before run garuda-update -a pls (new zen kernel is out)
