Realtek RTL8822CE - Wifi not working after update

That was not really what @jonathon was asking you. He was asking if you had installed any other proprietary Realtek driver. If so, what exactly was the source of any wifi driver you installed? The AUR or the Chaotic AUR is the best choice for most Realtek driver installations.

Have you searched the forum for how to install the proprietary Realtek driver? If you are still using the in - kernel driver module I would suggest testing other kernels. In order, the best alternate kernels to test are:

linux-lts
linux
linux-mainline

It would be a good idea to test alternate kernels, whether you are using one of the proprietary Realtek drivers or the in-kernel module.

Your Realtek Wifi adapter usually requires special steps to get it working. There are already extensive troubleshooting threads on the forum dealing with the rtl8822ce adapter if you search our forum.

Read this forum thread:

There are also many other threads in the “Networking Support” sub-forum relating to your adapter pre-existing on our forum. My search of the rtl8822ce adapter returns 19 hits from the Networking category on the forum:
