Rani Feedback

This feed back, so please don’t ask for inxi.

I downloaded both the Dragonized and Mokka and took them for a spin. Totally GREAT as usual. Good job everyone.
My only feedback is for the new Rani Welcome. Being new and all, it seemed glitchy. Also, it didn’t seem to integrate with Plasma very well. I’m thinking it’s still work in progress.
Thanks all

hi shroedinaz,

Yes its great and work in progress too and i like it too.
btw if you want the old welcome you can just install it over terminal or octopi when you miss it or need other stuff… sudo pacman -S garuda-welcome(Terminal)

:upside_down_face: :grinning:

I like the new theme (Mokka) and the Raini applications look to mesh well, though I will assume it’s still a WIP? I either am an idiot (entirely possible) or couldn’t quite figure out how to make it launch an install of steam or heroic launcher. I was (of course) quite able to install them via cmd.

As I just found this thread: it’s been made much more obvious where to apply updates (terminal glows).
Definitely WIP as in more features are being added, but the existing ones should work just fine.

I’m going to piggy back on this thread for some small UI feedback,

The apps that are already ‘installed’ in Rani could use a different color or hue or indicator from the programs you’ve clicked on TO install. As it is there’s no clear difference between the two. It’s shaded in regardless if i clicked on it to be installed when i ‘Execute tasks’ or if i’d do it previously.

Keep up the good work fellas
