Random Remote Control Request

Greetings.

I get random occasional remote control requests while playing an online game (Monster Hunter World). The request is as follows:

“Remote control requested
An application requested access to:
*Input devices”

[EDIT: It turns out this request shows up whenever I touch the trackpad on my PS4 controller]

If possible, I’d like to prevent the request from showing up.

I think this should have gone to the game/emulator category.

Best tips on how to run the game:

I cannot really test this - I do not have the game, I have a full AMD setup, and I have an Xbox controller.

Have you tried if you experience the same issue in an x11 session?
This is a possibly relevant KDE bug report, including also a link to another report related to PS 4 controller, which is fixed (maybe not released). Just in case…

from what I’ve gathered it’s something to do with krdp that doesn’t work quite right, I have the same popup when using an xbox one controller to move the mouse through steam desktop layout or in big picture mode when you have to move the mouse using the controller to click through a launcher, it might be that the PS4 touch pad get’s emulated as a mouse movement and triggers the same thing, haven’t found a solution yet.
