You have “default” network settings ? (vmware + host)
Open konsole → ip link show = ?
My knowledge is that the “state” is unknown = regular
Why no speed status ? Can´t say why.
Tested with metal + vm (equal vmware or qemu/kvm)
Changing from nat/bridge/host-only and reverse → same result status speed i can see.

funny ive read it but on my mobo is nothing like a virtual entry like you have. On my vm`s wired. i only have a issue when i start vmbox its asking for activate nat because is disabled but i dont see it in my inxi :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Yes, VM is with open-vmware-tools, and, I have shared folder configured and running.

I think the same. Only garuda-inxi shows no information on vmware network, but all my VM’s are running all right without errors and with internet.

So, maybe there is some filter blocking information? I don’t know. I only ask because some forum show that vmware network information was weird.

By the way, is this solved?

Stupid question, but I’m using qeum/kvm with virt manager and I had to set my virtual networks to enable and start at boot.
Is there something similar with VMware?

i know what you mean had same issue with it too. i use oracle vmbox no problems at all :wink:
