Problems with sound in some applications

I have a strange problem with my sound. In some applications I have intermittent sound dropouts when watching videos. The video continues but the sound is gone for a moment. Interestingly, the problem does not occur when playing games. I have been able to detect the problem so far with the VCL player, YouTube via browser and Jellyfin via browser. Unfortunately, I can not say exactly since when the problem exists, because I do not often watch videos with this PC.

Have you tested other video players and web browsers to see if this issue presents there as well. I would highly suggest testing smplayer as an alternate to VLC.

Also, is there a common video format that causes problems, or does it affect all (avi, mp4, etc).

I have tested FireDragon, Librewolf and Chromoium as browsers. The problem also occurs alongside Youtube on Peertube. In terms of video formats, I have been able to test MKV and mp4 locally, and the problem occurs with both formats. With the smplayer the problem also occurs. In all games I tested, the sound runs without problems.

I found out that this problem must be related to the performance tweaks. If i undo them the problem is gone. If I put the hook back in, the problem is back.

i have solved the problem now by removing the files 30-amdgpu-pm-rules and 30-radeon-pm.rules. Now the sound runs without any problems. Actually strange that these changes had influence on my Nvidia card.
