ever since ive used this os ive never got past this stage so cant realy say if its worth the hasle aslong as ive no need to update puti runs wellish cant use zen kernal puti wont start shame swithed from kali now going back good luck wiv this system tho,i try it in few yrs might get it worth usein again. shame i do like it

Sisyphean answer:

Issues with “signature is marginal trust”, "signature is unknown trust", or “invalid or corrupted package”

If you're getting an error similar to "Can’t update: signature from *** is marginal trust" or "invalid or corrupted package" you probably just need to update your package signing keys: sudo pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring chaotic-keyring sudo pacman -Syu If you have added any other repositories, e.g. BlackArch, then add their keyring to the list. Also make sure your system clock is correct! Of course, it's also possible that the package file actually is corrupt. Remove it from /var/cache/pacman…

I am an older user as well my friend. Never give up on learning new things. Any Arch based system takes a lot of dedication to master, but it's certainly doable for most home computer enthusiasts.

Just have patience and you will learn the ropes. Just keep at it and you will be rewarded in the end.

one last thing my frustration caused me to review my stand on this os,The help ive received mostly the fact nobody has called me stupid like other forum have when asking a question, today i was going to format and lose the best os ive had sofar, all because i didnt know about keyring updating now my puti is up to date ive got zen kernel back my screens no longer flickin and startups so much faster. all in all thank you all so much im here for life and big respect to the garuda team.

It is always helpful to enter the error message you received (in your case, the last “error: …” before the upgrade terminated) in the forum search function and see what results turn up. Often the solution is already posted in another thread.

And in the case of the “invalid or corrupted package” message, it comes up very often here.

ive been going through that process for almost 2mths i was determined to et past it i googled it i you tubed it then because of myebee 3 days of getting that far only to fail i made that comment and i take it back ur os and awesome caring mature team is staying put, my systems clean n fast again and zen is back thank you all for the help and advice u have shared with me i wish u all well
