Problems after installing nvidia 575.64-5 drivers

a little confused

so I just installed the newest Nvidia drivers (575.64-5)
then I reboot my system and all of a sudden the os is running very choppy and my second screen isn’t being recognised, is there something I’ve done wrong?

i am running a nvidia 1650 laptop so im not sure if thats an issue or not

i am very new to arch and didnt realise this would happen

Hello and welcome,

please open the Terminal and type in or copy and paste garuda-inxi. Mark it and copy and paste here the output please. Use the </> sign or use tree ~ above and under it. So we can see which hardware you have to install the right Nvidia driver for your System.

We cant help without this info. Its also written in the Template that you deleted before to write the Message.

thx for the garuda-inxi

For your system you need the open-dkms drivers.

Open the Terminal and copy and paste this commands for installing it.

sudo pacman -Rdd garuda-nvidia-config nvidia-dkms nvidia-settings nvidia-utils opencl-nvidia libxnvctrl lib32-nvidia-utils lib32-opencl-nvidia gwe python-py3nvml

no reboot and install

sudo pacman -S nvidia-open-dkms egl-wayland lib32-nvidia-utils lib32-opencl-nvidia nvidia-settings opencl-nvidia nvidia-utils

if its askinf for dependencies say yes (y Y)

hope it will solve your issue. If any problems please copy and paste the outputs like you did before with the garuda - inxi .
