Problem with ALVR and meta quest 3s

Hello everyone !

I’m really new on linux and it’s really cool to learn everyday, exciting experience ! But i’ve so many trouble with my meta quest 3s and ALVR for Steam link connection, I really want to delet for ever my windows on my pc but still needed till Iven’t solve this problem

I’ve tried so many different options, that’s why i’m posting here, my last hope…

So when I connect the headset on my ALVR it’s stuck in a loop of disconnection, i’ve tried very different version of ALVR, the matching option with the version on m’y headset still give the bests results but doesn’t work

Si what do you need and how can I give you to help me ? I’m on garuda linux NVIDIA version

Thanks a lot by anticipation, I’m desperate… (Want to play phasmophobia VR so hard haha)

EDIT 2 :
I’ve tried to upgrade my garuda, to allow the firewall rule, i’ve tried without the rule and without the firewall active
And i’ve tried to run ALVR on so many versions, nightly and stables
I’ve read that some issues will be caused by pipewire and then i’ve desactivated the audio and microphone microphone

Issue still unresolved? Then:

  • ONE issue per topic.
  • Describe your issue in detail. The more we know, the better we can help
  • Show us the results of your searches, and what you’ve tried
  • After rebooting, post the FULL output of garuda-inxi in the body of the post (not linked externally, or collapsed with the “hide details” feature)
  • Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>) , or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

Thanks, i’ve up the topic with the my inxi !

Make sure that you shut down the system on win, do not reboot from win to Garuda grub.

For the inxi ? Or ALVR ?

Always.

Also disable fast boot and secure boot on M$.

Okay i’ve disabled the fast boot from my windows bios :ballot_box_with_check:
And secure boot option is on “other OS” instead of windows uefi

Also a update to the latest bios could help
and perhaps it´s not enough only disabling in bios. (fastboot)
https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1045548/

for alvr
look github

Disabling fast boot properly check :white_check_mark:
And already check on github before posting here, but no convincing results :disappointed:

Edit : I’ve tried the streamer version of alvr, and the launcher that allows to install multiple build, tried so many differents things with so many versions, but the one hwo does something revelant is the same than the one on my VR, this is the only one that connect but still stuck in a loop of disconnection

Edit 2 :
For the update I got this :
