So, I tried switching to Garuda Dr460nized Gaming. I downloaded the .iso, i downloaded ventoy (i am more used to rufus but this is what the tutorial recommended, i doubt it was an issue from this though).
All good, i put the iso on the flash drive, I go to UEFI, disable fast boot, disable secure boot keys and disable CSM. i change the boot order so it boots from the UEFI flash drive, Save and Exit..
Then my screen displayed that there is no signal detected. Screen is black. I wait 10 minutes, nothing. i restart, still black. Every restart it was just black, no matter how long I waited.
I ended up opening up the desktop, removing the battery and doing a CMOS reset that fixed it. Now it works, but I am not sure if to try again. Like, format the stick and start from scratch.
If your screen can´t detect a signal it would indicate something is seriously off with your bios-settings. It should wake-up and then, at least, explain there is a problem booting from USB. (For example) You are 100% sure you didn´t fiddle with any other settings? I have softbricked my Mobo myself, resulting in a CMOS reset and that is a hardware issue not a software one. (Garuda)
haven’t touched any settings aside from the ones listed in the post, the rest is just the default, just as the motherboard came from the factory
well, everything is working as normal now after the CMOS reset, I’ll just try using Rufus (though I doubt it has anything to do with the software used)
