Poor performance in some games, as well as NVIDIA xserver setting seems to be missing alot

I’ve been having some pretty terrible stuttering and screen tearing. It seems to only happen on a few games, and while digging through the forum trying to find a solution, it seems the Xserver setting is missing a lot of options. I’m pretty sure it’s not a performance issue as The Division 2 and Exanima will run relatively fine, but Stardew Valley and City Skylines 2 run absolutely terrible. I will also get a ton of errors in the terminal when trying sudo nvidia-settings.
I’m very new at this so apologies in advance.

I forgot to mention that i have tried multiple different versions of proton, and adjusting various in game graphical settings.

Have you tried an X11 session? (You can change session type on the login screen)

It worked! I’m still getting some errors but after I re download some games and try some stuff out, I will report back.

remaining nvidia-settings errors:

Can confirm everything is working great with minor in game tweaks.
