Hello i am new to this sorry if i do something wrong, I have already looked at similar posts but it’s not exactly the same problem
If there is no easy fix i would like to know what steps i should take to remove the troublesome package considering i use a lot of sweet theme stuff on the active session, thank you.

It would be nice to know WHY these packages exist in the filesystem already. Did you do any kind of moving files around manually or is this caused by another thing?

Hi thanks for replying, this is not a fresh install i have been lurking for about a year.
I will assume your solution is a nuke or something and wait for confirmation (god forbid i check on my own).

Hi thanks for replying, I know for certain that anything with a name5 on my system replaced something of the same name during the past month while performing standard garuda-update.
As for the other packages they can be updated normally if i use
garuda-update -- --ignore plasma5-themes-sweet-full-git
and do not contribute to the problem (checked right now).

Mhhh :eyes: :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Lmao that got a good chuckle out of me, oops can’t upload screenshot of my root folder being made in march (still wrong date xd)… and file properties being partially in greek???

Ok this worked (let’s pretend i studied what it would do before trying it) thank you for your time.

Last time I’ve seen this it was a deleted pacman log file, is that the case by any chance?
If I recall correctly, the system install date is determined from the first entry in the log file (/var/log/pacman.log), and some ā€œcleanupā€ software (bleachbit and others) reclaim disk space by deleting caches and logs a bit too aggressively.

Lol, and i still remenber the install like it was just couple month ago :joy: :joy:
Just altered the date of first line in pacman, log

System install date: 1923-08-23
Last full system update: 2023-11-08

Indeed i just used the included system cleaner…which i am failing to locate and can’t name…

I believe you are thinking of Stacer. It was recently taken out of Garuda Welcome because it was causing issues on certain systems, I don’t remember the specific details but that may be why you are having trouble finding it. You should be able to bring it up if you search for it by name with your launcher.
