I'm facing the following issues repeatedly, and am not sure if they are related:

  1. While logging in, Plasma doesn't work sometimes. The screen is completely blank and frozen, including mouse pointer if visible. The only remedy is to force restart
  2. When I force restart, often my .config/kwinrc is replaced. I know this because it removes the lines used to open Application Launcher with Meta Key. So I have to manually add in those lines again
  3. Twice after a force restart, my Latte Dock has stopped showing up. latte-dock --restart doesn't help, although it does mention that an instance is already running. Tried a number of solutions from this forum and even manjaro forum, but the only thing that has worked is using Garuda Assistant to reset latte-dock configuration to default

I am happy to provide more details as necessary, but not sure which details would be relevant, hence just posting the problems. Also not sure of the prevalence of this problem/

Most likely you already tried these, anyway

I have moved your thread to the new Latte dock specific sub-fora.

To the OP:

In the future, please open separate topics for each separate issue you wish assistance with.

I see you were online several days ago, yet you made no reply to @filo's suggestion from 11 days ago. Please do not open help topics and then leave them hanging without providing feedback to assistants on our forum. On our forum threads are automatically archived/closed after 2 weeks without a reply. So, if you desire assistance on our forum and you do not wish to see your thread closed you need to provide feedback to forum assistants in a timely manner.

Consider the forum here the same as calling 911. If you make a habit of calling 911for assistance and are not where you called from when assistance arrives you will be unlikely to receive any aid. If you do this too often, like "The boy who cried Wolf" helpers will soon stop responding to your cries for help.

Just a word to the wise, be proactive and provide as much feedback as possible if you wish assistance on our forum.
