Performance issues on ASUS Z13

Hello,

I have a problem running Garuda Linux on my laptop. It's not just garuda tho. I tried steamOS and i have the same problem. The performance is similar to that of VERY slow powerpoint.

My laptop is the Asus Z13 that i bought almost specifically to run linux on it but no luck.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has any experience with this model.

I am unable to post any system info now because first the laptop is not near me at the moment and also it takes forever to convince it to do anything at all.

Does this kind of behavior sound familiar to anyone: the fps seem ok, but the inputs feel like are mostly ignored.

I would appreciate any ideas regarding this.

First things to always try:

Ensure your bios is up date.

Test three alternate kernels, try running at least:

linux-mainline
linux

I think also the usual nvidia caveats apply, nvidia_drm.modeset=1 and whatnot.
@Un0bt4n1um Drivers? X11 or Wayland? It can make a difference.

No nvidia GPU present. Only the integrated intel one.
