Is the version inconsistency solved, when I can install it again?

Or how can check it from time to time please advise…

no big deal in my book since there are much better GUI package managers out there. I’ve actually gotten out of the habit of using them. I run aur-check-updates then topgrade. If you need a GUI that sits in the systray try octopi or bauh.

Pamac is way better than these two.

the dude your opinion GIF

At least Octopi and Bauh haven’t caused DDOS attacks on the Arch repos like Pamac has done more than once in the past. Pamac is solely designed for use with Manjaro, and if you’re not using Manjaro then you should not be using Pamac.

For that matter you should not be using GUI package managers for system updates, period. Using a GUI for package searches is perfectly fine, but pacseek also works well for package searches.

Octopi and Bauh are reasonable alternatives for performing package searches. Unfortunately, with impaired vision I’ve always found the unresonably small fonts used with Octopi too hard for me to easily read.

I’ve been using Bauh as a GUI package browser for a while now for the simple reason that it lets you adjust the size of the fonts for easy readability unlike other GUI package managers.

This topic has been covered many times on our forum in the past, so it’s probably about time to put this issue to bed.
