Perhaps you might want to try installing TLP to see if it can improve your power consumption issues.

I have installed Garuda on my other laptop Dell XPS 9360 (no graphic card) and the power consumption seems very good.
I think there is a problem with the 3D card.
For my main new laptop I give up the idea to install Garuda and I have installed Ubuntu.
