Open > Dir - Dir - Dir - [ TARGET dir ] :: lister crashes and goes back to primary GUI.

not specfic to VS Code, but for instance.

annoying, but not insurmountable. i feel it doesn’t do it if i switch out to Budgie or uh. the other Win manager not wayland.

of course want to get to bottom of it, because this DT is comfortable otherwise.

Valuable contextual info: workiung w/ ChatGPT about something, he mentioned
Pro tip: If you’re mounting CIFS and the network is a bit slow, sometimes VS Code can lag a bit browsing the folder — so keep that in mind.

which reminds me:
the “disappearing” lister/ open file dialogue might be isolated to instances of trying to browse the CIFS mount (or, that’s a new thing since yesterday. but SMB conn, nevertheless, not uner /mnt however)
