Funpart: linux is name of a cleaning detergent which wipes windows
It can be said for me for Hindi too , English is not my mothertounge either
But the case is know English tooâŚ
Shameful plug for us poorly educated Americans:
Have you ever found yourself in a foreign bar not understanding the language and ordering everyone in it a round by mistake? Sure you have! Well, not anymore.
Folks, let me introduce you to Crow Translate, a handy translator that sits in your taskbar. You will never call your German friend a 'bottom feeding whore-bag' by mistake again.
Order now, limited supplies available in Chaotic Aur's repos. Side effects may cause, really, REALLY bad gas.
For me if i donât know more than one single language then it will be hard to communicate with others in my own country, i currently have core of 4 languages which are my own mother tongue , Hindi (yeah hindi is not my mother tongue but it is derived from it ) , English and Gujarati. If i wonât know any one of these then I would might face problem in communication with my neighbors. Lol my brother is ahead of me he knows little bit of French too
Well the google translate was close enough on this,
German:
3 Tage nicht duschen, Ravioli essen, gute Musik und immer leicht einen sitzen.
Andere gehen dafĂźr auf Festivals, ich mache Homeoffice.
English:
3 days without showering, eating ravioli, good music and always having a seat.
Others go to festivals for this, I work from home.
Oh what a coincidence I know exactly 4 too. English, hindi, maithli and sanskrit. Though itâs been a really long time since I spoke in sanskrit so I am not quite as fluent in it anymore
ooh another coincidence my family extends from bihar to madhya pradesh, rajasthan and gujrat too.
Wrong
Finer slang. Being slightly drunk.
Jokes often cannot be translated 1 to 1.
the co incidence is my mother tounge is maithli , but i have also learnt Sankskrit from grade 6 to 8 , but i donât put it in my core languages because i donât use it that much .
Do you read and write Maithili?
In my case I know Malayalam(my mother-tongue), though I donât know how to read and write in itâ, cause I have never really stayed in my home state other than visiting my grandparents in my holidays.
Then I know English, Hindi, understand a little bit of Haryanvi(though I might be forgetting, since I am no longer in the state of Haryana), and yup I too learnt Sanskrit in school.
Where in India did you converse in Sanskrit?
I have heard of a village in Karnataka, where they still speak.
For those of you still wondering, every other state in India has its own distinctively unique state language, and several other dialects and community languages.
Well same goes for me too, but at strating when I was in primary classes i learnt a little bit to write in that script , almost same as hindi , with a little bit difference
Well, it seems like most of the indians know 3 or more than 3 languages
Misunderstanding. When I was studying in school at Raipur, chattisgarh the teacher used to converse in sanskrit with us. . His entire class from the greeting of the teacher to the lecture itself along with asking and answering questions were to be done in sanskrit. The same school taught us mahabharat and ramayan too. Though it was an abridged version so the entire granth wasnât taught just the basic core story. Donât know if they still do this or if any other schools do it but it was there in mine.
Nope. Same reason as you. Plus biharâs education system is shit even my siblings who are studying there donât know how to read and write in maithli since itâs not even taught in schools. This is something I really wished biharâs govt would have done better well not just this but itâs there in the list. I hope bihar govt takes a page from bengal and orrisa or literally any other state. We have 0 idea of cultural preservation and development.
Thatâs the reason why we have to leave from bihar , itâs really bad , most of highly educated officials who are at very high post in country are from bihar state , one of the most competitive kids are also from here , literally when I was in my coaching then most of the people who used to score good were from bihar but irony is that the state whoâs people in india are tagged as the most hard working people (even my teachers used appreciate my work by saying that "really WTH you kids from bihar eat that you do excellent in studies ") , actually doesnât have their home state that much developed to give even a proper schooling for the students
My Sanskrit Guruji was a prominent Shastri in Haryana(or at least in the region where I stayed). He was well versed in Sanskrit, and he taught us very well, but the teaching was in Hindi only.
And in Haryana we have Ramayana and Mahabharata (both abridged versions) in the CBSE curriculum for class 7 & 8.
Ooh. I guess itâs been removed from syllabus now my brother too is in CBSE like us but he hasnât been taught ramayan or Mahabharat even after reaching 8th class or perhaps itâs because the school is different
.
I donât know if my teacher was prominent or not but he sure was quite strict. He always smelled of chandan had a tika and chutiya like a Brahmin should. And speaking in anything other than Sanskrit during his class time would mean getting hit by a ruler .
Hey cbse hadnât changed anything, do you think that much big change will happen without any protest ?
May be your brother is in private school , I have studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools , and yeah they are government schools , I have met some students of 8 th grade when i was not passed out of school , they have the same things that we had
I wonât say anyone such a thing, even if my father is from OBC but still. (not me because we were not able to get a certificate for me as we donât have any relative who can handle the process for us in bihar, so now a general category person ) , or maybe now no one can identify what is my background, and itâs good thing . I have studied with Brahmin kids and kids of all major religions like Muslims, Hindu, Christian , etc . Never gone through any discrimination from their side, many times it feels like itâs the big companies like meta , Google who use people to spread hatred and make bad situations worst by showing more sensitive content to the peoples which some people can say is eye opening information, it can be ⌠but it makes more hatred among different religions, and finally results to more fights and thenthere we get more sensitive content and this is pushed to peoples again then anger regenerate , then obviously more fights and this cycle goes on forever. And this done for money âŚ
I guess I should have worded that better I am talking about the hair braid that brahmins should have after their mundan during janaw. people usually cut it off after a while bcoz of fashion. Kind of similar to how sikhs wear turbans traditionally but some cut off their hair and donât wear turbans anymore due to same reason fashion.
Meanwhile in the US, my Uber driver shows up smelling of salami with orange Cheetos dust on the steering wheel.
Americans have the weirdest food combinations...
Combinations that would probably give non-Americans instant Diabetes, if they were to try it
