Mine problem is different
For you it atleast gives any kind of error message but for me it just keeps on buffering and do nothing :slightly_frowning_face:

Literally preprietry is sometimes a garbage :rage:

Because you can't even know
That actually what is happening in it

This is a problem that I also encountered often when I used firedragon. It seems like it has it's own custom user agent which messes with some sites. Either get a user agent changer and set it to firefox or use a different browser.
Maybe dr460nf1r3 might even do something about this

Right, it makes no sense to use META WA with a privacy-focused web browser.

Microsoft Edge is not an exceptional browser in my opinion. I tend to cast a leery eye on any Microsoft product to begin with, but honestly I feel like it has no noteworthy features.

The horizontal tab option is interesting, but not for me.If you want a good Chromium-based browser with creative tab management options, I say Vivaldi is far and away the better browser--especially when you consider the built-in privacy features.

Yeah I get the appeal of Vivaldi but honestly I just go for the browser which runs the best like the best performance etc. Edge just seems to beat other chromium based and firefox browser's for me for whatever reason.

Well...you can lead a horse to water, am I right tbg?

Yes, you can lead a horse to water, but how many ways are there to skin a M$ & FB product user. :joy_cat:

My apologies to those too young to catch my abuse of those old sayings. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I mean it is just a web browser at the end of the day. Not the end of the world if it's Microsoft owned lol. All they'll see is a lot of research and YouTube lol

Too young to remember the browser wars &:

Oh I know all of this. I just don't let it dictate what software I use because I don't really care tbh

Ya I hear ya, no point in being overly picky about the products you use.

I'm rather partial to products produced in sweat shops with child labour, so who am I to talk.

Yeah like what company doesn't have some form of scandal or some bad ethics here and there. I feel just because Microsoft is a big company that they get targeted more than other companies but I bet you that if for example, duckduckgo had the funding of Google then they would become similar in the sense of not being trusted. Not like these companies choose to be evil necessarily but at the end of the day it's a business and they make money. Plus that whole thing with Microsoft calling Linux a cancer isn't even relevant. That was a long ass time ago from some old guy that probably doesn't even know how to put his own socks on. Microsoft are very friendly now with Linux whether for ethical reasons or financial reasons. Like how many of us can say we never use anything Microsoft related? Or Google as they're not much different in terms of trust. I'll be damned if I stopped using YouTube because Google has all these rumours going around and that they wanna see what I'm browsing. Makes it more convenient in a lot of ways although extensions help sort out the most intrusive parts of that.

Have you also ever heard of the classic M$ tactic, “extend, embrace, extinguish”.

Yeah I've heard of it. But they're not extinguishing Linux no matter their intentions lol

Not for lack of trying!

Can't say I know their intentions but I have extreme doubt that Microsoft want to get rid of Linux considering its wide adoption even from Microsoft. Like look at the percentage of Linux Vs Windows on their own Azure cloud platform. I do think Microsoft actually do see Linux as a good thing and want to incorporate it as much as possible as is evident from WSL as they know many may want to use Linux but within Windows for compatibility purposes among other reasons. Just my opinion though but I think that Microsoft doesn't want anything to happen to Linux and that it will continue to improve support and compatibility with it. There's even rumours that Linux may get a Linux subsystem for Windows in the future. And I would love that for purposes of Microsoft Office because of compatibility and being able to not rely on workarounds with their majy problems like Wine. Just my thoughts though.

No, that horse has left the building, it’s obviously too late to " to get rid of Linux". They can however certainly try to co-opt it though, or try to undermine GPL licensing.
