Nvidia tkg drivers - next way for better gaming?

Oh a lot of things:

  • LibreOffice
  • MS Office Online
  • Firefox
  • Brave
  • The default General Internet Application that are selected
  • Telegram
  • Discord
  • Skype
  • Slack
  • Thunderbird
  • Olivia
  • Kdenlive
  • Twitch GUI
  • GIMP
  • Krita
  • Kolourpaint
  • Digicam
  • Inkscape
  • Blender
  • ImageMagick
  • VS Code
  • Virt Manager

These are all I'm pretty sure.

Something really interesting happened. I tried switching to TTY and after I put my credentials in it came up with hundreds of warnings that nouveau is stalled at ffffffffffffffff. After that I can use the TTY with no issues though. I will try removing virt-manager in case that the issue.

Why is there nouveau ?

Can you tell what does

Sure, I was able start KDE. I modified .xinitrc and put startplasma-x11 instead of startkde and it worked.I think something's wrong with SDDM. Give me a moment for the mhwd list.

Just as an update I installed the TKG dev packages from the repos and now everything works properly (system boots normally), I am installing some games right now to test. So far SW:KOTOR gets stuck in "Preparing to Launch",I'm also downloading Dragonball Z: Kakarot to test I will get back to you in like an hour.

I tried new .img
liveboot and mhwd installation nvidia drivers on my laptop (dell inspiron 15 7567 - GTX1050-Ti + Intel Core I7 7700HQ) without issue.

That issue is now fixed in this commit. There is still one conflict that librewish will take care of.

Just as an ending note after installing TKG dev packages from Chaotic AUR and optimus-manager the system works phenomenally, all games work at high FPS. Thank you so much!
