Nvidia driver conflict running garuda-health --fix

I’m new to Linux so don’t really know what I’m doing, I updated recently and the Nvidia drivers broke, there is a lot of flickering. It says when I update that it’s using the wrong profile, and to run -garuda-health --fix to resolve that but whenever I do that it fails with this:

I’m hoping I don’t have to completely reinstall Garuda or something like that, here’s my inxi output

I think if you remove garuda-hardware-profile-nvidia-580xx first, the rest should work when you execute garuda-health --fix. I’m pretty sure that’s been the resolution when others’ have posted similar issues. I’d search the forum also just to be sure.

Pacman dependency resolution is… Frustrating, recently. I’ll see what can be done about this.

Hey, this issue should be fixed. After a garuda-update, garuda-health should be able to apply the suggestion.

It did fix the dependency loop, but it’s still flickering after update.

There is unfortunately nothing obvious I can see from your inxi that would cause flickering. The correct NVIDIA drivers are installed and working.

You could try reverting to a previous NVIDIA driver version or switching to a desktop environment that does not rely on X11.

sudo pacman -S garuda-hardware-profile-nvidia-580xx

Be sure to upgrade your BIOS to the latest version. You are missing extremely important updates. Very outdated BIOS can cause flickering eventually. (one of the BIOS updates mentioned " Add ReSize BAR ON/OFF button and improve its compatibility for NVIDIA RTX30 series graphics cards")
