Not being able to type my password in konsole using su

Hey! Whenever I attempt to become a root user to download stuff through pacman, I can't type my password into the konsole. Any way to solve this?

╭─dominickg@dominick in ~ ╰─λ su Password:

Keep in mind that that prompt shows up but i cant type anything into konsole. Thanks!

LANG=C sudo pacman -S scrot

[sudo] password for sgs:
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...

Packages (1) scrot-1.7-1

Total Installed Size:  0,11 MiB
Net Upgrade Size:      0,00 MiB

:: Proceed with installation? [Y/n]

IDK what you try, use this, no need to get first to be a root user.

The su password prompt doesn't display keystroke inputs.

Oh really? That's interesting.. sometimes I type it in and it does show up though. Maybe its a glitch because I've never tried to type it in without seeing. Thank you!

It does for sudo, not for su, tt least when I just checked as I've only used su a couple of times on this distro (sudo is usually entirely sufficient within terminal).
