No video output when logging into Plasma Wayland session

Since the Plasma 6 update I have been unable to use a wayland session. Every time I’ve tried to login I just get a blank screen and then the monitor goes to sleep (so no video output at all). Ctrl-Alt-F2/F3 also gives me nothing so I am forced to hold the power button to shut down.

  • is it reproducible every time?
  • does X11 work?
  • do you have a Windows dual-boot?

It happens every time.

X11 always works.

I dual boot Windows on a separate drive and only use it about once per month.
