Hello !
The sound on my system has disappeared. The only way to get sound is to launch pavucontrol and adjust it manually with the slider, as the “Sound” category is missing from the system settings app. The keyboard shortcuts for adjusting the volume (e.g., FN+F1 for mute/unmute, FN+F2 for lowering volume, and FN+F3 for increasing volume) are also not working.
I have attempted to switch sound managers, trying Pipewire, Pulseaudio, and Alsa, but the category still doesn’t reappear. Currently, I’m using Pipewire with Alsa and pavucontrol.
This workaround is not practical, and modifying the keyboard shortcuts for volume in the settings doesn’t seem to work either. I’m unsure how to restore the “Sound” category in the settings and get the keyboard volume control combinations functioning again.
