No quiet splash

I now have a noisy boot splash even though quiet appears to be enabled.
How to set quiet splash?

I went through this a couple of months ago, but I don’t remember what I did to change it, as my /etc/default/grub currently looks like yours.

I get the boot print when booting and shutting down.
Quiet splash is not working.

Quiet needs to entered twice?
