No internet connection

Hi everyone, since yesterday I noticed that Garuda does not connect to the network (usually via cable but it does not connect via wifi either).
I turn it off and on again and it works.
After another reboot it does not work and I have to reboot again.
What additional information should I give you?
Thanks guys

Did you try X11?

Try to collect logs, like journal, when it doesn’t work.
No use of Windows between the work and no work case, right? Just in case…
I’d also try a few different kernels.

Disable MAC address randomization, then reboot your computer & router.

@SGS honestly no :sweat_smile:

@tbg already disabled

@filo no problem under Windows. journalctl --system only sends me 3/4 errors about USB (usb 5-1: 3:3: cannot get freq at ep 0x86) and pipewire (spa.v4l2: error: Errore di input/output)
journalctl -g network sends this:

  • systemd-udevd[591]: /etc/systemd/network/50-wired.link:5: Failed to parse interface name policy, ignoring: eth0

content of 50-wired.link:

[Match]
MACAddress=*8:7*:5*:5*:9*:7*  (asterisks placed intentionally)

[Link]
NamePolicy=eth0
MACAddressPolicy=persistent
WakeOnLan=magic

Try setting a static IP address in your router.

Sometimes Windows can be the cause of this kind of issues.
Make sure you completely shut it down when you are done with it, disabling the “fast startup” feature. What Is “Fast Startup” Mode and How to Enable or Disable It? - MiniTool

fast startup is disabled from first istallation… and honestly I don’t use Windows anymore since I got Garuda :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

now I’m trying with static IP address as recommended (by the way I had the printer in IP conflict with another device last week, I have to fix this too even if I’m not very good at networking, but that’s another problem)

thank you

So.
It didn’t work via cable even with a fixed IP, it didn’t work via wifi or via mobile hotspot.
At the moment I think I’ve solved it.
I used a snapshot from 26, nothing good.
A snap from 25 and it seems to work… so I redo garuda-update (having the feeling that the networkmanager package had problems and I could make downgrade only for that) but at the moment everything is working… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
I’ll monitor everything in the next few days and eventually I’ll mark it as solved.
