No Grub menu after updating

I received an update with grub-silent replacing grub many days ago and now, grub menu does not appear on boot.

This is my grub config.

Ideally I would like the grub menu to appear and nothing else (no logs and no 'Welcome to GRUB' message). Currently I get the welcome message and it boots directly to linux-zen kernel with a splash (loading) screen and HP logo in-between.

Can you help me with this? And really thank you for maintaining this ye beauty💝.

did you make sure your monitor does display the grub menu within 3 seconds? :grimacing:
I had this a few times where my displays simply did not turn on fast enough.
So either while starting the PC press the UP and DOWN arrows so the timeout is aborted or increase the timeout.

GRUB_TIMEOUT=3

You can always re install grub

Make sure all the configs are reset to the default.
