No audio on line out (ok on headphone)

Hello,
I’m totally new to Linux, I just installed Garuda Mokka and I encounter an audio issue:
Audio on headphone is working fine but no sound on line out output. (sound bar is modulating).

I’ve tried some basic things found in others topics without success (and without understanding what I did).
Basically, I tried switching to ALSA or Pulsaudio with no success via Garuda system settings.

Could someone help me with this ?
Thanks in advance !

Hi there, welcome to the forum.

Have you tried the different audio options in the KDE System Settings?

yes, every single possibility ! (I Also tried every physical output of the rear panel of the computer).
When audio is set to line out, when i unplug the cable it switch itself on headphone and switch back when i plug it back. Normal behaviour I believe, but no sound…

Hello again,
Something I didn’t try is to unplug my headphones (my bad I didn’t do that earlier…) : Line out works perfectly when headphones are not plugged.

Next question : is there any way to keep both headphones and line out plugged and choose from the settings what output I want to use ?
I do not find any menu nor settings to change this behavior…

Thanks !

Hi Plon and welcome,

When you click on the Audio Symbol in the Taskbar you are able to change the output and also the Application sound level.

Hello Duke, thanks for your answer.
The fact is when i choose line out on the output settings and have headphones plugged in, there is no sound going out on through my main speakers.
I need to unplug the headhones to have sound on speakers.
Is there any option to let me decide where sound go (choose output) whatever is plugged in or not ?

I dont want to have to plug or unplug anything to chose between headphones or speakers.
I need to bypass the automatic plug detection: I want to be able to chose output from sound panel.
I dont find such option…
