If Garuda is installed, use pacman for installation apps.
Nobody can help without garuda-inxi and details of the problem.

Reminder:
Hello Garuda users.

Please read the following template before requesting assistance:

Please post the terminal/konsole input and output as text (no pictures) from the following command:

garuda-inxi

Refusing to post the output of the required "garuda-inxi" on a help request will likely result in you not receiving any help from the Garuda team. A failure to provide your system specs may also result in your thread being closed without notice, (as without this information providing assistance is often next to impossible).

Before opening a new help request, please search the Arch and Garuda Wiki's, and read any relevant sections related to your issue. Also, thoroughly search any error messages in the forum's search engine and on the web. For in depth information on how to search for answers to Linux issues effectively, read the tips on the Garuda Wiki:

Please report in detail everything you have already attempted to solve your problem.

Ya know, I'm pretty new to Windows--haven't used it since Christ was a Midshipman. But I'm up-to-date with around 25 years of general Linux experience. How's about I teach you Linux, and you teach me everything about Windows?

First Lessons:

  1. Pacman/ALPM is your package manager. To install a package type in a terminal sudo pacman -S packagename
  2. For audio, choose either Pulseaudio or, preferably, the newer Pipewire w/Wireplumber. Either runs on top of ALSA. I believe Garuda defaults to pipewire, but you can choose to run either of those with or without JACK. You can configure sound graphically with one of Garuda's helpers.

I run straight, vanilla Arch with a few AUR packages. Garuda is Arch-based and a bit different, but only by degrees. Between this forum and this distribution, all your hands will be held. And you get great theming & artwork, too.

But steer clear of Help Vampirism.

What is the problem? Please describe it in as many words as possible, plus what you have searched and read, and what you've done to try to resolve it. Saying "this doesn't work" is not adequate.

This is the mighty Arch Wiki.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/
Let it become your friend.
Search there any topic you want to learn or troubleshoot (pacman? audio? Nvidia? You choose it... Arch boot process!!!).
Or you can start from the general recommendations (post installation, since your system is up and running). Nice.
If you really want to learn, study, avidly, follow the links and your interests. Learn more. :muscle:
