This old and very long kernel bug report seems to mention exactly your model (16ARX8H).
I hope it will be fixed soon. I didn’t even try to check the progress.
The current last message should be for your model, so hopefully they will be working on it.
But there seems to be a workaround in that message.

Bummer dudes

So it means the workaround doesn’t work?
Sorry but slang can be misleading sometimes

I actually just replied before trying the fix you mentioned… So I just applied the fix you mentioned rebooted and I have sound! Thank you ser! Or Madam! Or Zer! Whatever you prefer! I do not judge!

I’m a man.
But it doesn’t matter, in general and especially on the internet, right?
Glad it’s fixed!

I sir, have taken note, that you sir, are a man, and I appreciate that, mostly because I currently identify as a man myself! Thank you sir! I appreciate you and your very professional and expert advice very much!

One thing I will add that I did notice since… is that when the laptop wakes up from sleep… No sound until reboot

I take everything back… Solution only works temporarily and for some bullshit reason stops working again… does not even go to sleep and it fails… Just restarted after sleep… Sound at first, open youtube on chrome and no ■■■■ing sound! What a gyp heh

Please follow the rules, and don’t use this forum as a chatroom ,
you can edit your older post that is this one

instead of replying to mods repeatedly , it helps them to keep things organized and can spend some of their time outside to touch the grass :slightly_smiling_face:
