Hello, I have been using Garuda Linux for 3 months now. I’ve had a lot of problems since installing Garuda Dragonized edition on my laptop. I was able to solve them sometimes by finding solutions on the forum.
Recently I had a lot of lag and freeze. I visited the page dedicated to the subject (Troubleshooting System Stutter, Lags, Freezes, and Hangs).
I tested different kernel zen, lts, zenver2, catchy-os catchyos-BORE, Liquorix Xanmod, Xanmod. The one that seems to work best overall is xanmod1-1-edge-x64v3, but I can’t launch a game via Itch.iopar for example. I used to be able to do this with zenver2 and now it doesn’t work with any kernel.
I tried to install different versions of Wine (wine-staging, wine -wow64 to see if the problem could come from there but without success. I also tried to download different versions of Vulkan drivers via Nvidia-all.
I’ve also tried swapping between Wayland and X11 X11 is the most stable so far, whereas Wayland causes glitches and is very unstable for me.
Also, my Nvidia driver works on Linux zenver2 and Xanmod but under Catchyos, the Nivida server program doesn’t show me all the parameters.
Do you think Corectrl is responsible for any problems? The parameters proposed by Corectrl are very limited.
I can’t figure out what’s causing my recurring problems and why, from one day to the next, I can’t launch games either via Steam or Itch.io or what’s making my laptop feeze.
The worst : I’ve also had Libreoffice crash when I try to copy and paste, for example.
I’m at a loss and don’t know what to do.
Here’s my acutal garuda-inxi :
