Need help with drivers in a Radeon AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

Hello everyone
I have for some issues trough reason updates in a scale which makes my machine almost unusable (on fresh install). Certian QT apps have issues (GIMP) ,apps like blender have graphic glitsche (work bench shader black) and can’t recognize the GPU on top i also have issues with OBS when i hover over the close icon the program crahses and i get a Job 1, 'obs' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error) i had none of these issues a few months back (basicly everything worked like it was supposed to and even better ). At this point i am despreat and i am seriously considering to change to something debian based. I AM DESPERATE

(using Wayland)

i am happy for any help !

Right off the bat I noticed you are running a release candidate kernel 6.7.0rc2. Going to a stable release would be my first trouble shooting step whether it’s 6.6.2 or 6.1.62 LTS. Then I would also restore an earlier snapshot if you can of a working system using the BTRFS Assistant. Then if you still got issues you can try running garuda-update from the terminal and install any updates you may have pending. If that doesn’t work you can try to Reinstall all packages using the Garuda Assistant. If that doesn’t work sometimes the best and quickest solution is to backup all your data and do a fresh install from a fresh download of Garuda.

I love Garuda Linux though you have to understand that what makes Garuda great it’s also it’s weakness in the fact that it runs on the latest Linux software. Being a rolling release their is always the chance that something might break. Now Arch which Garuda is based on is pretty good at fixing issues though sometimes it takes a little time. Also if you like to customize your system, again you are introducing points of failure. If you need rock solid Linux system going to a point release distribution might be a better solution for you.

I tried LTS no success with that. Snapshot is not an option the system has just been reinstalled and the issues are more prominent than before the reinstall. I could maby try a different kernel version but when i get no results with LTS i think i won’t get any success with something else

Try X.

that is a good idea. How could that be pulled of on Gaurda?

You can switch between the available sessions on the login screen.

With GDM, type in your user name and before you enter the password there should be a little cog wheel in the corner where you can pick a different session type. GDM names them oddly; just pick one that says X11 or Xorg.

It works … kinda. Xorg solves my issues BUT creates a new one that being that i can’t use graphictablet inputs with out the app freezing. Switching between Wayland and Xorg depending on what i wanna do is fine as a temporary solution but it’s not elagent one

(blender still has issues on linux zen with X11)
I tried some bit around but i have no the issue that on X11 my wacom tablet is not working. The program just freezes with out any reason
