My Dr460nized desktop is broken

I suffered a full system crash while playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance
On reboot, by desktop was gone. No Latte panels, no wallpaper. This persists over reboot, so all attempts to fix it are ignored.
my PC still functions more or less perfectly, it's just the desktop itself causing issues.
I created a new Admin user which works as expected, but would rather not have to transfer everything over to that account

Do you have a backup of your older account’s files?

If not then you’re going to have to recover the settings from somewhere, and the new account has the desktop settings, so you’ll need to copy something one way or another.

Are you not able to recover through snapshots that are in grub boot menu?

Not included in snapshots by default.

I tried restoring from backup, which failed.
The new account I set up was also erased on further reboot

Hot damn.
Thank you.
I am now officially 100% sold on Garuda as an actually really good Arch distro
[I missed this response initially by checking email rather than forum]

Sorry, but what was your actual solution?
