Monitor Brightness keep resetting on low 10%

Hey there;

lately i face various minor problems that really annoys me at my daily use cause i always have to manually overwrite it on a daily basis that’s no big deal but it starts adding up with multiple issues, so i now address the first one here. First of i use a old installation of Garuda KDE Dragonized as my daily computer and never touched this recommended setting.

It’s about adjusting the monitor brightness, i first removed redshift as autostart, than i uninstall redshift completly and i now really don’t know which program keep adjusting my brightness. I only know it have something to do with a mini programm that calls “Nachtlicht” (as icon in the tray) in german which translate to something like “Nightlight” but that`s problem not the english name cause you often can’t translate 1:1. I have my monitor directly via hardware control on 30% and this mini app is always on 10% sometimes even on 5% and i always have to change the bar via this software back to 30% or i readjust it directly via my monitor controls. But even when i have set it on 30%via software it’s only active during the session and never survives a restart or even a inactivity lock screen (first of my monitor boots with 30% but after i log in and the program launches it’s again on max. 10%). How can i overwrite it or get rid of this mini-program i really don’t need it cause my monitor memorize the previous hardware settings and i have a monitor control as well. And my problem center around brightness not how warm or cold the light is like in some nightmodes and the issue happens every time and not only e.g. during night.

Thanks for the help!

… pls bios update

Not enough info (for me) what you exactly mean…

Default : open kde settings → sroll down to colors & design → “Nightlight”
Inside Arch / KDE it exist some apps or miniprograms to do this.
You can use self brightnessctl do to this
open konsole → brightnesctl

You use the mini app “brightness a. color” inside the tray ?
If → click on desktop (right click) → use edit mode
and delete the relevant icon inside tray.
Perhaps it is Wingpanel Nightlight Indicator ? if → the same procedure
and..and..and..

and pls every time after update → reboot, then post inxi
