Mint-Y-Purple theme makes the buttons and highlights green

Hi all!

I don’t know if it’s a problem with Cinnamon itself or the mint-themes package but the Mint-Y-Purple theme makes the buttons and highlights green, rather than purple.

(I’d post a screenshot but not yet allowed as I’m too new here)

Thank you!

BTW, how did you install the theme?

yay mint-themes

And then:

yay mint-y-icons

For the icons.

Both packages are in the chaotic-aur.

Seems it’s a bug in the mint-themes package. I upgraded from the one in the chaotic-aur to the one in the regular AUR and the issue is gone.

Normally there is no difference between

Upgraded means there was an update?

Yes, there is currently a version difference between the aur version of mint-themes and the chaotic-aur version of it.
The aur one is newer.

A dependency was switched in https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=mint-themes&id=34233a51915f26da96d6853fc155c82cd2b65253
Resolution:

If there are any issues with Chaotic-AUR packages, please feel free to post it directly in

or even better, create an issue here:

Thank you!

I wasn’t aware initially it was an issue with the chaotic-aur, but I will keep this in mind for the future!
