Hello,
I've recently installed Garuda KDE Dr460nized on my desktop. Naturally the first thing I tried was running the minecraft launcher from the AUR, but after a moment it gets stuck somewhere while it tries to update itself. I had it run for around 2h30min in that state.
When I launch it with sudo, a window opens, but just shows a white screen.
I can still interact with it, and sometimes clicking on things sometimes opens a new window, "Log in to Minecraft", but I don't know what i'm clicking on so it's pretty much unusable. The console output might be of interest, but I don't understand what it means.
I know that the launcher shouldn't need sudo to run properly, because I've been able to make it run with no problem on my laptop.
Here's what I've attempted so far:
- Reinstalling minecraft-launcher, several times with pacman, pikaur, and yay
- updating my system and rebooting
- Running the launcher with the command
LC_ALL=C /usr/bin/minecraft-launcher, and uncommenting fr_FR.UTC-8 from locale.gen (fr_FR.UTC-8 was already written at the bottom of the file under "Locales enabled by Calamares) after reading this post (output oflocaleis below.)
