I’m not an Asus user, but maybe you could consider installing the SW and especially the custom kernel from:

If not helping, give a look also here (your model is not listed, but maybe search for microphone issues/tips, like the hdajackretask tool t oreconfigure inputs/outputs (again, just an idea):

It would be helpful to know which microphone is not working, the built-in laptop microphone or an external one?

It’s a Internal one… I already see Asus Linux on Arch Wiki but doesn’t find anything useful

Have you had the issue from the beginning?

Try disconnecting the USB audio card (there may be a conflict), then reboot and check if the mic works w/o issues.

You have windows dualboot, windows is known to hijack hardware. Check in windows if Faststart and Hibernate are disabled → then shut down windows correctly (right click on the start menu → shutdown).
Switch the laptop back on, enter the BIOS and check whether Fast Boot is disabled (you can also check whether your BIOS has options for audio). Then boot Garuda Linux and check whether the mic works.

If that doesn’t help, boot the garuda-live.iso and check if the mic works in a live environment.

I have do all of your suggestion but it’s still doesn’t work I will try to boot from Garuda from Live CD Instead and yes I have problem from the very beginning of the installation, Infact I rarely boot to Windows except for Gaming

Sorry for long reply I have booted Garuda LiveCD but Microphone doesn’t seem to work on that either

The problem with non-functioning microphones is not new with asus laptops.

What do you mean? Garuda Linux uses pipewire by default.

You mean alsamixer, right?

Have you tested all the profiles for the built-in microphone under “System Settings” → “Sound”?

Have you tried to set the microphone to less than 51% (this is an old known workaround for asus laptops)?

i bookmarked it myself to see whats going on because i also have a Asus Laptop but i dont use the internal mic or a mic in general. i will check my Asus Lappi to see if my one is working

P.S

So did test my Mic is working without issues did record myself with Audacity but i am on the Lts Kernel with Xfce Desktop. Same drivers installed with wireplumber and pipewire.
i did not installled any Asus software from arch linux.

Sorry I mean yeah I have tried everything checking alsamixer setting Mic below 50% but still doesn’t work
