Sorry for my impatience but i really need to get this fixed I am in the middle of my school classes and its getting really awkward explaining the problem to non techy teachers

Fixed by downloading pavucontrol and changing back to analog sterio duplex

So: you changed a setting and something broke, then fixed the problem by reverting the setting? Good lesson to learn.

Just for info,

had nothing to do with it.

NO actually i the option to revert disappeared so I couldn't change back but the option was still present in pavucontroll
