Thanks for the tips.
I tried a couple of different kernels with no luck so i did the shut down and unplug everything method you suggested and reset the BIOS on boot up and now Bluetooth is working on the zen kernel.
Easy fix, but one i never would have thought of, thanks

Unfortunately until the driver/kernel sees improvement this problem often tends to repeat itself.
Hopefully the fix at least sticks for a fair while for you.
