Mangohud and VKBasalt no longer working

Ok so I searched for a similar topic but could not find one.

As the topic says mangohud and vkbasalt are not longer working, infact goverlay says its missing them.

I have tried to remove the packages and reinstall them using octopi and garuda gamer but it dose not fix it any insight into this would be great thanks.

Could you please post your garuda-inxi ? :slightly_smiling_face:

You’ll probably get an error message on mangohud. If so, search in the forum and you’ll find several topics solved (with some variances in the approach).
If necessary, install packages using pacman. GUI-based package managers (like octopi) can create troubles in some cases, like this mangohud story.

Ok so I did all that still nothing any other thoughts?

I think you need to provide more information, specifically because you are the only one here who can see the screen at the moment.

For example, this:

What happened with that? Paste the input and output of the command into the thread so we can see what is happening.

Did you find the information about resolving the mangohud conflict that filo mentioned? What intervention did you try? What were the results of your efforts?

“I did all that still nothing” is not a statement that provides any useful information.

sorry just woke up coffee still sinking in.

OK so there was no error when updating at all, I know when I launch goverlay it has a little red icon in the bottom right that says missing mango hud, when I try to launch mango hud in the steam launch options the game launches but mangohud is not preset on the screen. I did switch kernels back to the default zen kernel when this first started I had been testing the chachy bore kernel to see if I noticed any improvements in performance like they boast. But since then I have re-installed mangohud and its dependency as well as I ran a full package re-install from the garuda assistant.

i finally figured it out i had to install glu must have been removed when i un-installed and didnt get picked up as a dependency when i reinstalled

sudo pacman -S glu
