Hi there, welcome to the forum.
What doesn’t exist? The file you downloaded? Are you in the right directory?
Could you please post the full input and output?
Usually you git clone something.git, then cd something then makepkg -si

I can enter the directory i downloaded but when i use makepkg it says that makepkg does not exist

That’s really strange.
Makepkg is provided by pacman.
Are you sure it was not a typo, or the PKGBUILD doesn’t exist?
The latter case could be a common mistake.
You can use makepkg if the package has a PKGBUILD file, so it was packaged for Arch.
But if you start from a general GitHub site, the source won’t usually include a PKGBUILD, it will not be packaged specifically for Arch.

If I’m not wrong it has one, and In the installation guide it said to use the build comand

We’ll need more details here to help you.
Link to the site-source, input output?

I’m trying to install this GitHub - nwg-piotr/nwg-look: GTK3 settings editor adapted to work in the wlroots environment

Just

sudo pacman -Syu nwg-look
or
upd -- nwg-look

or nwg-look-bin, included in chaotic-aur.

Thx it worket, but it still says that pkgbuild does not exist

Works fine here

upd -- nwg-look

System updated! 🐧

Thx, if I have any other problem i’ll do another post thank you all

That makes more sense. This is a completely different error, by the way.

This repo doesn’t have a PKGBUILD, it has a Makefile. You install it according to the instructions in the repo:

Installation

  1. Clone the repository, cd into it.
  2. make build
  3. sudo make install

By the way, this package is installed by default in the Sway spin–no need to install it again.
