When I click on it and enter password nothing happens

I have 2 computers with Garuda MATE on one and XFCE on the other and I noticed this
a few days ago. I noticed that if you try to launch the Login Window tool from a terminal
with the command 'pkexec lightdm-settings', you get this error,
Settings schema 'x.dm.slick-greeter' does not contain a key named 'cursor-theme-size'.
What solved this problem for me on both machines was editing the /etc/lightdm/slick-greeter.conf
file. Under the line cursor-theme-name=Adwaita (or whatever theme you have) I added a new line,
cursor-theme-size=16
and saved the file.
