Login to Gnome Desktop shows search at top of screen

I'm running the Gnome version of Garuda with all the latest updates. What I've done though is removed the dock and add some extensions:

  1. AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem
  2. ArcMenu
  3. Dash to Panel
  4. Dash to Dock

Whenever I first log into my Gnome desktop, it's as if I'm in the app drawer (no app icons showing) with the search item at the top of the screen. My desktop is not expanded to it's maximum unless I click on the desktop.

What do I need to do to change this so my desktop is shown fully expanded when I first log in? I've checked the Gnome Tweaks utility and the normal settings and can't find anything that would change this.

Thanks!

That is the default for Gnome. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

You will need an extension if you want to disable this: No overview at start-up - GNOME Shell Extensions
