We have to choose one. Because amd doesn’t have Integrated GPU.

And in India, amd gpu are very expensive and I don’t need dedicated GPU.

So, I chose intel.
(I will be building new pc in july this year)

AMD it is I guess.

Ok, but I don’t need integrated GPU.
My problem is, I can’t buy my favorite hardware, out of stock or double price and delivery in the middle of next month.

The traders are crazy.

Ryzen with Radeon graphics onboard - my kids are playing games on them.

wait so what happened? i have AMD and NVIDIA components

Only low end processor come with onboard graphics. And tbh, the quality of onboard graphics is not upto the mark, imo.

NVIDIA doesn’t support open source and do not have any drivers for Linux at all.
Installing nvidia graphics is a pain for most, so many open ource lovers don’t buy any nvidia gpu and advice others to not buy either, to discourage this behavior.

Interesting definition for low end processor… Is Ryzen 5/7 considered low end?
I thought I’ve bought a good laptop… :sob:

Sure, although nouveau does a decent job, unless… you want to play games  .
Kids wanna play!!

We are talking about desktop processors btw. And ryzen 5600x/5800x/5900x doesn’t comes with integrated gpu.

Is that a GPU brand? It doesn’t sell products in India at all. So

Or use Blender but with 16 cores is useless (I hope).
If time comes I put my old 1060 GPU in new PC.

The old PC has integrated GPU in i7 3770K, fine for testing and data cloud

Hopefully the pandemic will pass while I’m still alive.

nouveau is the open source driver for nvidia, but I think you are joking… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The only one I can boot the ISO on my crazy PC today

Well shit...looks like I'm gonna have my hands full with this 3070 then

No, really! I haven't used any NVIDIA gpu and won't use any time soon.
(Though I had heard nouveau before, but didn't know exactly what it is )
