Despite the obvious advantages of Oniux, Tor highlights that the project is still experimental and hasn’t been tested extensively under multiple conditions and scenarios.

That said, the tool may not work as expected, so its use in critical operations is discouraged.

I’ve tried Ptyxis on Garuda Xfce. It’s a bit of a memory hog compared with the standard Xfce terminal, but I really like it.

“With this series, swap subsystem will have a ~20-30% performance gain from basic sequential swap to heavy workloads, for both 4K and mTHP folios. The idle memory usage is already much lower, the average memory consumption is still the same or will also be even lower (with further works). And this enables many more future optimizations, with better defined swap operations.”

Part of me is unsurprised that it’s still so prevalent, the other part is disappointed they can’t ever be reported fast enough. Note that fake ads are still everywhere too! Ad blocking is becoming more and more necessary as time passes :face_exhaling:

Probably won’t be able to afford this, but I can dream
