There’s been an update to the situation, seems the screaming was enough to fix the problem:

Bitwarden have just made the SDK open-source again, using the public GPL 3.0 license.

I wonder, as I do not have the experience, if MV3 affects the built in ad blockers like the one in Brave? Since it is not an “extension” but built into the browser itself does this mean they can get around this limit?

Not trying to shill for Brave or anything, I also dislike their web3 crypto nonsense. More just curious what this actually means for chromium based browsers with built in adblockers.

Edit: Also nice to see that Bitwarden went back on their license change. May have damaged their rep already but at least it shows they are willing to listen to an extent.

It dont affect built in ones but they don’t get updated fast enough to be useful an don’t cover the same as a normal ad block.

Perhaps these AI’s aren’t quite as infallible as some would lead us to believe.

OpenAI’s Whisper transcription tool has hallucination issues:

Hospitals are using this software, now that’s truly scary. :scream:

Ha! I’m a satisfied Posteo customer as well. Fortunately, they finally own the posteo.com domain, being unable to use it was a bit of a shortcoming.

Additionally, I like to keep an eye on Proton, so I do have a free account there. Not a big fan of them breaching out into all kind of services unrelated to mail (and quite aggressively advertising bundles), but that seems to be the trend these days. I do like their disposable mail adress feature (previously known as SimpleLogin).

Regarding cloud storage: I’ve tried out many different services, and Tresorit was certainly not one of my favorites, especially since they’re pretty dependent on MS stuff. For some reason Tresorit does seem to pop up in lists like these, not sure how they’ve managed to do so. I’ve been using SpiderOak for years and years, but for some reason they’re focused on space and robots now?! I was considering ProtonDrive (which might some day be a solid alternative), but progress was too slow for me. I really wanted to jump ship, so I went with filen.io, which is not devoid of issues, but otherwise suits my needs just fine.

FreeOTP may seem like a great option, but beware that they don’t offer any export options (yes, I fell for it and got stuck). My favorite auth app was https://2fas.com/. These days I strictly use Bitwarden and YubiKey/Yubico Authenticator for authentication.

Wire is mentioned alongside Signal, but are we sure it’s safe (enough)?

Last but not least: I do love the remix of course  .

When did they loose the “nota”?

Vaultwarden and the following for me it is:

Mostly for md3 style and wear os support. The latter saved me from headache a lot already.
