I’m having trouble figuring out where to best report an issue with the Zen kernel. I’m hoping someone here knows.
But yeah, I did my usual Paru -Syu earlier today, noting that included updates to key system components, including the Zen kernel.
Rebooted, and when going with the default boot option (currently Zen), I got an error that said something like “You need to load the kernel first!”
I tried another option with the Zen kernel, and had the same issue.
Thankfully, I also have the LTS kernel installed, and was able to boot off of that and restore to the snapshot from right before using Paru. I wonder if some others might not have been so lucky, though… (I know there’s a guide, but some might have trouble accessing it?)
I know some software that I use regularly refuses to work (or at least work properly) unless it’s fully upgraded, so that might be an issue. I might end up having to fall back on the LTS kernel until it’s fixed and hope that things run well enough, or something.
So yeah. Would anyone mind passing this along to upstream?
