My laptop has become very slow to boot (4-5 minutes) and just before the display manager, posts something like

Timed out waiting for /var/tmp/something

and is up for about 1000 ms.

Haven’t found anything in /var.

Your btrfs root partition is full, 100% it says. So is your /home partition at 98.32%.

Check the precise message in the logs. It could be this one, or something very similar:

Which already occurred here:

There is no tpm folder in /var.

Sure. I was just wondering if the error was rather

Timed out waiting for device /dev/tpmrm0

If not, it must be something else.
We need the precise message.

Timed out waiting for /dev/tpmrm0

Mmm I’d try anyway that

systemctl mask dev-tpmrm0.device
4 Likes
systemctl mask dev-tpmrm0.device

worked, thank you very much.
