Lack of updates issue

I've had no updates for a couple of days now and I'm finding it a bit odd since I have always had some minor updates whenever I check, and I know there are numerous updates in the pipeline after taking a look at the Distrowatch Latest packages list.

The terminal shows this when I try and update...

:: Synchronising package databases...
 garuda downloading...
 core downloading...
 extra downloading...
 community downloading...
 multilib downloading...
 chaotic-aur downloading...
:: Starting full system upgrade...
warning: reflector-simple: local (2.0-1.1) is newer than garuda (2.0-1)

System updated! 🐧

...is the reflector-simple: local issue the reason for the lack of updates?

Here's my current system info:

And as always, the terminal output is incomplete.
It should always include the input command.
Precludes queries and is very helpful for beginners.

Solved by the God of Search yet again :grin:

I always update via the setup assistant, but I’ll put the full command next time.

Yeeeach! I was gonna do a customized testing Archinstall from GitHub today--until I read the News. I would have made a mess of it for sure.

Will garuda-update solve that in time or is there some manual labor to be done?

I think latest is

pacman -Qi pacman
Name                     : pacman
Version                  : 6.0.2-6

Where is the problem? :slight_smile:

Update work fine here.

well I got it from the link from arch:

Mirrors are syncing again, but it may take a bit of time until your mirror of choice has caught up.

For users

Update your system and merge the pacman pacnew /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew file. This is required as we have moved the [community] repository into [extra].

$ pacman -Syu "pacman>=6.0.2-7"
sudo pacman -Syu pacman>=6.0.2-7

A very relevant video from a few days ago about the current situation...

"It's easy to forget just how old Arch Linux really is..."

Christ-on-a-crutch, I've got a loaf of bread older than Arch. :frowning:
