What happen if you use one monitor?
Best you open an issue on KDE, it works before update, so it seems a bug if you can't change krunner settings.

I use one monitor and 95% i3wm, in KDE I never use krunner.
Let's wait and see if an experienced KDE user comes forward.
(1920 / 2) - ([width of krunner] / 2)
